When you place the file hold down SHIFT when pressing the Open button.

How would anyone possibly guess that? Should be tip and shortcut info in every dialog box!

Shift+Enter and Alt+Enter in the control bar are a similar hidden gem.

John Hawkinson May 16, 2011 5:15 PM (in response to Eugene Tyson)So, another part of this is you can just hold-down shift while double-clicking the file.
This is slightly annoying when placing multiple files.
As far as I know, you need to make sure to click once to start the range, click again to end the range, and then
shift-double-click to open the range with Import Options.
