    AE to Premiere

    nick2price Level 1

Hi, I am completely new to premiere, so please excuse my lack of knowledge.  Basicallly, I created something in After Effects CS4.  I then exported it as a Adobe Premiere Pro Project...I then opened up Adobe Premiere Pro CS5, tried opening the project I exported from AE, and I get "This project contained a sequence that could not be opened. No sequence  preview preset file or codec could be associated with this sequence  type."

I dont know if this is because I used AE cs4 and PPro CS5, or what is causing this problem.  Is there anyway I can open my file I created?

Not sure why you created a Premiere project from AE... actually I didn't even know you could do that. Use Dynamic Link to bring your sequence in from AE to PR. If that doesn't work (or you prefer not to) use AE to encode your sequence as a finished video file, preferably in an uncompressed codec like Lagarith, and then import that file into Premiere.
