Hello, I am wondering if someone can assist me. I have a need to create windows media files WMV. I am working with PAL in Australia. The wmv's file I need to create, I want to be standard dvd widescreen quality. That means for PAL 720x 576 Lower Field first interlacing. However all the options to create wmv files are presets predominantly for downloading on the Internet and I see no way to select a custom method to alter.
All the options either De-Interlace the video or set it for Upper field first which is great for NTSC but not pal. Any one have any ideas please??
Both NTSC and PAL are normally lower field first. But since WMV is not a format used for DVD distribution or for broadcast, which are the predominant methods of delivering interlaced content, I just don't know if WMV can support interlacing. All computer monitors are progressive, and so all web videos are progressive.
