I'm shooting a black and white "short film" soon and I need to accent certain objects in red (i.e. a person's tie, a book or lamp). Is this something that can be done if the footage was shot in black and white, or would i need to shoot in color and use the color remove tool in premiere?
It is easier to remove color than to add it, so I'd shoot in color and then selectively remove color. The Black & White effect is made for removing color or creating a monocolor image.
There's some basic information about removing all colors but one here.
Why do you mention Premiere here? After Effects is far better for such tasks.
I only mentioned Premiere because it has a color correct option. Nothing more than that. The link you gave was perfect. Exactly what I needed.
Thanks so much.
