They were describing the process for Adobe Acrobat, not Reader. Reader is unable to do what you want. The full version of Acrobat 10 for Windows is available for download, so you can test it out before the trial period ends. If you do this, the menu item you mentioned is no longer present, but its functionality has been moved to: Tools > Pages > Extract
Thanks for reply. I did download for trial period. i open Tools but cannot
see a Pages menu on right side of screen, so cannot get to EXTRACT Brian
What items are listed in the Tools pane?
As a follow on, when I click "Create New Action" there are opportunities to
delete, replace, rotate pages, but no label to extract. I don't want to delete
any pages, just make 3 files of 6 pages rather than a large 18 page document
which takes ages to read as PDF with neutron photoscore. Brian
George, I think I've cracked it. The pages option wasn't open -when I
toggled a small icon on top right the Pages opened and there is a menu for
"Split document". thanks for your patience and willing expertise. Do you
think the pro version is worth buying? What else might one need it for?
