    Inserting flash video

    Chrsitian Community Member

I am having problems inserting flv files into web pages.  I have done it before and now it won't work.  I am usisng Dreamweaver CS4 & Windows Vista.

Attached are a couple of screen shots showing what the file looks like in Firefox 4, and the code.

Any hint/help would be greatly appreciated.

      Thanks,

Save your FLV to your local site folder.  If you have not defined a local site folder in DW yet, you must do this first.

Open a new HTML page.  File > New > Basic > HTML.

          1. Insert Media > Flash > Progressive Download.

          2. Browse to the FLV file in your site folder.

          3. Choose a skin.

          4. Hit OK.

Save your page.  Upload it to your remote server along with all the dependant files (FLV file, FLV Player.swf, Scripts folder, etc...).

If it still doesn't work, please post a URL to your page.

Hi Nancy - a million thanks - that works.  I never thought that it would only work if uploaded.
