I'm editing a college graduation that was shoot with 2 cameras. Problem is Camera 1 started before camera 2 so I'm having issues with speakers dialogue, etc.
So to all the professional editors, is there any easy way to sync this? Obviously there wasn't a clapboard, etc.
Locate a common reference point in both cameras.
Apply a clip marker in each clip. Note the T/Code and calculate the off-set.
Get tricky and PASTE the same t/code to each clip at this reference point if you wish .
Look for the start of something significant, e.g. a speaker coming to the podium, the band starting to play, hats thrown into the air. Get close by syncing up those points, then look for camera flashes. Those work great for getting two or more shots synced up to the frame.
