1. Re: Wrapping text around an image
Lilybiri May 25, 2011 10:13 AM (in response to dcmediaman)Hello,
I could propose a workaround: create a polygon and make sure it has the form that you want the text to be if it wrapped around the image. You can put text in that polygon (double-click) and it will flow into the polygon. Long ago I posted this blog post about that feature:

Thanks for the suggestion. Creating a polygon appears much easier than creating multiple text captions to fit around the image.

Captiv8r May 25, 2011 1:29 PM (in response to dcmediaman)Hi all
I'm not sure Lilybiri understood what you want Darin. And I'm doubtful it can easily be achieved.
Her post shows fitting text *INSIDE* a shape while I'm understanding you to desire placing text *OUTSIDE* the shape and following the shape contours.
Cheers... Rick

6. Re: Wrapping text around an image
Lilybiri May 26, 2011 8:41 AM (in response to Captiv8r)Oh, I see Rick. For me what you are showing is "Text along/on a path", I would never use 'wrap text' for this. Why is terminology so difficult and different from app to app?

8. Re: Wrapping text around an image
Lilybiri Sep 5, 2014 1:49 AM (in response to SethDickens)Thanks, but have to warn that flowing text in shapes works perfectly in freeform shapes, but sadly it is no longer the case in basic shapes since at least 7. I have logged this, but didn't get any answer so far.
