converting projects from windows to mac

      hi all,

Ive been using premiere elements 9 for about a month now on my msi laptop, but just today upgraded to a brand new imac with a 2.7gHz processor and 8GB of Ram to help the program run smoother.

Im sure this is a very common scenario, but the projects i have been working on, which i have saved on my external hardrive, wont open on my new mac.  when i choose the file it says:

"the scratch disks are write protected or unavailable. To open this project, the scratch disks will be set to your My Documents folder.  Would you like to continue?"

if i click yes it starts to load the project before saying:

"the project is not compatible with current version of Premiere Elements"

Is there a program that i have to download so i can continue to work on these files?

      thanks alot for your help
