    InDesign became slow

We are working for book end references which is around 120 pages with an xml-first work flow. The InDesign became very slow when i imported the xml file. Why? What is the solution to make InDesign fast for any alterations to the file.

When you import xml tags it flips some interesting switches. Unless yours works differently from mine, after you import the xtags, it embeds all the formatting and text and no longer uses the tags.

Save As an indd, quit the program and restart. Should set it straight. Also check that it's not trying to reference any unnecessary fonts (using Find Font) and doesn't have any unneccessary inline boxes. After that, I'm out of ideas.
