thanks for your reply.
i have been trying to load the swf file through the following methods and are working fine..
// if the file is downloaded localy
path = File.applicationDirectory.resolvePath("Orange_News_ticker.swf");
// if the file is over internet
Let me clearify you my question again.
if the link does not work, please try from this zip file:https://350913df-53d8-4db2-97c6-597f74f02bac.s3.amazonaws.com/225b4668-a948-4c21-922f-8203 3c7e9f40/Archive.zip
file localy on your system, run it directly. it will show you the news perfectly.
but when you tried to load this swf file through the swfLoader it will show you "Failed to Connect to News Feed"
I know the cross-domain-policy but it should work fine when it is loaded from local file system...
Looks like you have an AIR app. I think remote content is always sandboxed.
What is the full text of the error you are getting?
I have uploaded the FLA file of External SWF (https://350913df-53d8-4db2-97c6-597f74f02bac.s3.amazonaws.com/225b4668-a948-4c21-922f-8203 3c7e9f40/TickerWidget.zip)... Please have a look...
My Application which has to load this SWF file is in FLEX and AIR (two seperate applications). I am stucked here.. and have no idea how to get this resolved.
I don't have time to work with a FLA file. What is the full text of the
error you are getting, including any stack trace?
