1. is you video playing in an flvplayback component?
2. as2 or as3?
Right now I have it in as2, the video is embedded and placed on a scene timeline.
The audio file is placed on a timeline. The only as I have it for a stop all sounds command at the end of the last scene.
is there anything on-stage when you view the timeline with the video? if yes, click on the on-stage object that displays the video and report what you see in the properties panel.
The properties reads from top down:
I gave it an instance name
Tells me the source
position and size
if you used flv for the instance name:
var mc:MovieClip = MovieClip(flv.loaderInfo.content);
var st:SoundTransform = mc.soundTransform;
st.volume = .1;
MovieClip(flv.loaderInfo.content).soundTransform = st;
Thank you for this, but unfortunately, I don't think this quite does what I am aiming for.
1) Now the file is in AS3.
2) I have one audio file making background music throughout the entire file.
3) The video comes in at a later scene.
4) I want to lower the volume of the background music file while the video is playing, then get it to normal volume after the video.
Thanks for your help.
if your background sound is attached to a movieclip timeline (eg, mc), use:
var s:Sound=new Sound(mc);
