Indesign CS5 will only start 'As Administrator' (Win7x64)

As per title of discussion, if I start Indesign normally, the application window never appears. If I check Task Manager, I find there is an Indesign.exe process running for each time I have attempted to start the program.  If I 'Kill' all these tasks and then use 'Start as Administrator' the software will run perfectly.

I am running the software with an account with Administrator priviledges. I have no problems with Photoshop or Illustrator (or any other software).

I have tried resetting the preferences

I suspect this is something to do with registry permissions, though I have no idea why they might be set incorrectly.

      I'd welcome any ideas, thanks
