Can anyone tell me how to (or if I should) download an update for adobe reader 6.0 on my antiquated XP system?
Clicking on "Help-Updates..." in the menu bar results in no response. What next?
Is my memory too small for the current version? Do I need to uninstall the old one?
Is it free? Help please!! I'm a student trying to get lots of resources on-line, and I'm having a lot of trouble for hours!!!
Claudio is right; these are incremental updates, they must be installed one-by-one in sequence (if you want to remain on Reader version 6).
If you want to go to a newer version, Reader 8 runs quite nicely on XP systems.
You must uninstall Reader 6 (from Control Panel | Add/Remove Programs) before installing Reader 8.
To get the latest Reader 8 (English version), download & install
