1. Re: how to change password in bridge?
chaoxie Jun 7, 2011 7:53 PM (in response to C953)Hi
Bridge can't change password for FTP. you need to change it in the server side manually.

2. Re: how to change password in bridge?
C953 Jun 8, 2011 12:28 AM (in response to chaoxie)I'll try to explain
a little more in detail:
I changed my server a while back along with the password to my server.
Unfortunately Bridge seems to be locked into my old password because everytime I type my more recent server password in Bridge output it automatically reverts back to my old one. Consequently I can no longer upload anythng out of bridge. Is that a little clearer? Ofcourse one can't change a server password in Bridge!

chaoxie Jun 8, 2011 1:06 AM (in response to C953)please reset the preference of bridge when restarting to have a look
(press ctrl(win)/option(Mac) when launching bridge), you will see the options dialog)
and, please uncheck the "remember password" to have a look.

4. Re: how to change password in bridge?
C953 Jun 8, 2011 7:58 AM (in response to chaoxie)Just did that (twice) and it still isn't working -
when I clicked on upload another password automatically appears and can't connect to server. Very frustrating!
I reset preferences while launching Bridge to original settings - there must be some way to get rid of the old password inside of Bridge???

6. Re: how to change password in bridge?
chaoxie Jun 8, 2011 6:43 PM (in response to C953)do you mean your password is displayed as explicit? not "*"? bridge will not directly show your password in output module.

8. Re: how to change password in bridge?
C953 Jul 29, 2011 3:40 AM (in response to jamesmaypoletaunton)I never got it fixed - No one seems to know how to fix it so I am using photodex to get slideshows on my website. If you find the answer please let me know. This is very frustrating and I just gave up. Hope you have better luck!

9. Re: how to change password in bridge?
lalgo74 Dec 22, 2011 9:48 AM (in response to C953)This is happening now to me too - on both the laptop and the desktop - it is autofilling a longer chain password as soon as I click on upload on Bridge CS4 and CS5. I read that it might be related to html v. flash OR possibly could be remedied by typing in the full ftp directory instead of the ftp web address (http://forums.adobe.com/thread/591569#2885151) . Will try playing around and see if anything works.

10. Re: how to change password in bridge?
C953 Dec 22, 2011 10:59 AM (in response to lalgo74)Good luck - would love to know if you solve this! If not, I've been embedding videos from photodex directly into my web site - works really well for slide shows but I would still love to be able to use bridge for the gallery stuff where you can click on thumbnails to scroll through images. Let me know how it goes please! Kinda annoyed that no one seems to "get" this! Guess you have to be experiencing it to understand. I don't think it's a flash thing - my web site is in word press which is not a flash program.
