I've tried many alternatives to get a text field to show the glow effect on the iPod, but none worked.
It works when I run a .swf on my PC, but the glow filter will not show up on my iPod Touch after I convert it into a .ipa with Flash CS5.5
Is there a method that will currently work?
Is this a bug or something not implemented yet?
Thank you, hope somebody can help me.
Mostly avoid filters when going to publish with IPAD, try with the publish setting render type to GPU.
Unfortunely, I was already using the GPU option.
Anyone else ran into this problem and managed to get it working?
I am having the same problem. It is not working well when object is appled with filters on ios app. It is not showing on Ipad. and delaying the timelien animation/transition. To work around it, I have to copy the object with the filter applied on Flash IDE than pasted to Firework and saved it as png file.
Then imported or loaded in to my flash file again. By doing this, it works much smoother. But the object might get pixelated on scaling and not editable. I am wondered if there is an alternative solution as well.
