    DW MX 2004 Hangs

I am trying to help maintain a website that was created using MS Front Page. I can open and manipulate all pages, except for the index.hml or the default.hml pages. the only difference between these pages and others on the site is that they have a floating window attached that appears when the page loads. You can move this window all around the page, and you can also close it. I think it is called a "dragbar?" at least that is what it looks like in code view.
when I load the page for editing, the general outline of the page comes up, but the text in the "dragbar" window is missing, along with other text on the page. as soon as I try to click on anything on the screen, Dreamweaver hangs and I get a (not responding) message and I have to close it down.
I have downloaded and installed the import Front Page extension, and that doesn't help either.

      any help would be appreciated

The before mentioned was when running Dreamweaver MX on my laptop. I also have it installed on my pc at home. I can open the file fine on it, but the "dragbar" or what ever it is called, continues on to the right for some lenngth. i have to use the scroll bar to get to the end of it, and the text in this window is alligned in the center, and is hard to get to. What a royal pain.

Is this version 6.0 or 6.1? If the former run, don't walk, to the MM site
and upgrade it to version 6.1. Please.
