Then render to one of the available codecs and then use another app to compress to H264
I don't have the H264 format in the render settings. I need help.
That isn't as bad as you think. After Effects can't do multipass encoding, which makes H.264 look much better. It's better to render a lossless file from After Effects, and use other compression software to make the H.264.
If you have Adobe Media Encoder, you can open the After Effects project in it to make an H.264 file, and it CAN do multipass encoding.
