Not sure here what your problem is. In Your screen shot, Safari is inidcated as the active application, and the safari window is in front of an open ID window. If you click in the ID window where it is showing, does it come to the front?
Thanks for the reply Peter. When this was happening, it may have been coming to the front but you couldn't see the document and I would have to choose Float All In Windows...whereas usually when I switch back to Indesign from another app all my InDesign docs are there.
Could it have something to do with the kind of workspace I'm choosing?
Really don't know. I'm a Windows user. I do think some others have reported some odd window behavior switching windows on their Macs, though. It might be browser-related, but I don't really recall.
