John, that is like MAGIC! I'm sitting here with my jaw on the desk. I wonder, is there a way to use that NEW ITEM trick and somehow keep the timeline/sequence intact? I've tried dragging clips from the timeline onto the NEW ITEM tag, but it erases the existing timeline and fixes just that clip. I've tried dragging clips from the bin to the NEW ITEM tag, and the same thing happens. I'll create a sequence from scratch again if I have to, but I'd like to fix the clips and keep the timeline/sequence as it exits, edited and with voiceover, effects, etc.
You're my new hero.
Select all the clips in your current timeline and copy/ paste them into the sequence you created with the New Item solution.
I don't think that's it. I created Sequence 2 and C&P'd the clips into it; same problem, the program monitor video is too large, it's out of bounds for the safe margins and so I'm showing someone's chest when it should be pockets-to-headroom.
I tried Select All (CntlA) and right clicked in the timeline. I selected "Scale to Frame Size" and it seems to have fit the program video within MOST of the safe margins. I will try rendering and exporting it, see if that gets me a video I can use.
Still taking suggestions!
