Using CS5 on iMac with footage shot on 5DmkII.
The footage looks correct in the source monitor but it is "zoomed" in the on the program monitor. It's currently in the "fit" size so I tried messing with the %'s and all it does is resize the frame not the zoom. It also exports the footage zoomed like in the program monitor. This is my very first project with my upgraded CS5 and on my new mac. So it's the default and I haven't messed with the settings to alter the view. How do I get the footage in the program monitor to look exactly like it was shot/source monitor? Thanks
It sounds like you sequence settings don't match your footage settings. I'm guessing that your sequence's pixel dimensions are much smaller than those of your footage item---so, when you put the footage (clip) into the sequence, only a piece of the clip can be shown in the relatively small sequence. You can either scale the clip to fit or make a sequence that matches the clip---whichever is appropriate for what you're doing.
I recommend that you take some time to work you way through the basic learning materials for Premiere Pro.
looks like that was the problem. I had set the project to NTSC widescreen instead of DSLR 1080p... Thanks!
