CS5.5 and Pro Res 422 (HQ)

Got frustrated that my Canon XH1 (HVD) was bcoming obsolete before I had really exhausted its capability. I am in the process of upgrading from CS5 to CS5.5, using Windows 7 in 64 bits. Now a friend recommended that I by a AJA Ki Pro mini and record via the SDI output to it. This piece of equipment accepts uncompressed HD video and records it using the Apple Pro Res 422 (HQ) codec for an Apple-based workflow (10bit, 4:2:2, 220Mbit/s = 9 times better than HDV). Now CS5.5 boasts that it can "digest" Quick Time formats. Can I record to the AJA equipment and then play back via the HDMI input into my PC and CS5.5 will recognise the material - despite the compression using the Aple Pro Res 422 (HQ) codec?
