One simply cannot transfer an individual file through the internets. The Photoshop installer places files with particular attributes and marks them with unique permissions. Those details will likely be lost if you manually drop a file on your computer.
You really need to reinstall Photoshop somehow.

Abigail3007 Jun 14, 2011 6:35 AM (in response to Marian Driscoll)Sorry I meant my collegue's cs5 plugin.
I've read quite a few posts on this subject and other people have got their friend to send them their plugin and they've inserted it onto their computer and it fixed the problem. But I don't know anyone who has photoshop cs4 on a mac.
This is my cs4 plugin
This is my collegues cs5 save for web plugin
Thanks

charles badland Jun 14, 2011 7:57 AM (in response to Abigail3007)I deleted my preferrences , settings, accidently deleted my save for web plugin. The save for web then greyed out if I tired to save for web any type of document. I moved my save for web plugin from my trash back into the plugin folder. Photoshop save for web was still greyed out.
Try deleting you Save for Web preferences. This is a different preference file than Photoshop preferences. Close the program and from your user home go Library>Preferences>Adobe Save for Web 11.0 Prefs. Drag that SFW preference file to the trash and restart Photoshop.

5. Re: Photoshop CS4 corrupt save for web plugin
Abigail3007 Jun 14, 2011 8:13 AM (in response to charles badland)Thanks for your help, but I've already deleted my Save for Web preferences. But when I deleted them then re-opened photoshop they don't appear again in the folder and the save for web is still greyed out. It's so frustrating.
I'm downloading the CS4 photoshop trial version, so that I can then insert my serial number, but it's taking so long to download.
Thanks
Abi
