shooternz Jun 14, 2011 9:21 PM (in response to lou4uandme)What is wrong with what you are getting?
Have you set your Playback settings?
What is your source?
What are your Project settings? ie. Does it match your source footage?

lou4uandme Jun 14, 2011 9:35 PM (in response to shooternz)Nothing is wrong.
I do see that the preview render is a lesser quality than the timeline or should I say it's not an exact copy of the timeline when using preview render.
So what happens is, when I do test renders and keep PREVIEW checked, my renders take 1 hr to finish. If I UNCHECK PREVIEW, my renders take 6 hrs.
Granted, the quality is better.
Which lead me to my previous question.
I was thinking if I increase my preview quality, I could keep it CHECKED for the final renders and save 5 hrs.
Just a thought

shooternz Jun 14, 2011 9:38 PM (in response to lou4uandme)ah ha. Now I understand your question.
I think the answer is no and I think common wisdom is "Do NOT use the - Use Previews to export" ( ie . Uncheck it)

I'm pretty sure that I told you the same thing about a month ago on a different forum: Don't use preview files for export.

lou4uandme Jun 15, 2011 8:16 AM (in response to Todd_Kopriva)TODD......are you reprimanding me?
Yes I am aware not to use them (due to quality issues)
That was the reason for my "2nd" question..."Can I increase the quality"
