I am trying to install the latest reader on our MacBooks. I tried the auto update and that failed. I tried downloading and installing and that failed. I removed the older version and same, then removed all traces including the library files and failed.
This was done on multiple Macs and the results were all the same.
Any suggestions other than not updating?
You say you removed library files. That includes .plist, preferences and support files, as well as some hidden files. DId you do this manually or using a "remover" app like AppDelete?
If you missed some if the hidden files in the Application Support folder(s) you didn't fully uninstall.
Hidden files? I'm not sure how I would go about that? I have removed the plist, preference, and support files associated with the program. I removed them under the individual user, the system library, and the hard drive library. I have had issues in the past with Air but it was related to creating the support piece under the user account.
Can you provide the installer logs for the systems on which it is failing. It could be found at "/var/log/installer.log"
