1. Re: UPDATE: Folio Producer tools 1.1.0
FilipeVSpeck Jun 15, 2011 12:47 PM (in response to Bob Bringhurst)For me, there's no problem in uploading articles to Acrobat.com, but for now I can't open any folio there. The function is necessary to organize the articles in the folio. I've read that it's possible now just in Digital Publishing Suite service. Is it true?

Andy Blackham Jun 15, 2011 2:46 PM (in response to Bob Bringhurst)I struggled to find this update at first. The Adobe Application Manager doesn't find them, and using the Folio Builder and Overlay Creator panels didn't prompt me for an update. To cut a long story short, its here:

3. Re: UPDATE: Folio Producer tools 1.1.0
JuergenBerk Jun 15, 2011 7:58 PM (in response to FilipeVSpeck)@ Filipe: Exactly my issue as well, I can no longer organize artiles in a folio on acrobat.com, apparently this functionality was removed for non subscribers on Monday. It was working fine before Monday.
I did not see any announcement RE this, but in the thread entitled "folio producer not working today", I was told the following by an Adobe employee:
" You will not be able to open folios directly from acrobat.com anymore. If you are a Digital Publishing subscriber, you can work with your folios through the Folio Producer tool at https://digitalpublishing.acrobat.com/"

4. Re: UPDATE: Folio Producer tools 1.1.0
jeffyerkey Jun 15, 2011 9:09 PM (in response to JuergenBerk)I have tried repeatedly to run the (Mac) "Adobe 1.1 DigitalPublishingPatch-All" and it fails repeatedly at the last step generating the error,
"This application cannot be installed because this installer has been mis-configured. Please contact the application author for assistance."
Anyone have any ideas?
Thanks in advance,

5. Re: UPDATE: Folio Producer tools 1.1.0
Frank Costa Jun 16, 2011 8:03 PM (in response to jeffyerkey)This error message is coming from the Air installer while trying to complete the update of the Desktop Adobe Content Viewer. I'm assuming this is a Mac so please clarify if otherwise. If you go into /Applications/Adobe do you see a "AdobeContentViewer.air" file present? If so try installing it again by double-click.
If that fails, please confirm what version of Air you have installed by following the guidance here: http://kb2.adobe.com/cps/407/kb407625.html

6. Re: UPDATE: Folio Producer tools 1.1.0
John Mitchinson Jun 16, 2011 8:37 PM (in response to Frank Costa)This is very strange. I had no luck getting the Content Viewer to work on my PC lately so I did a search on my computer and the file AdobeContentViewer.air was found in the Adobe directory. So I ran this file and now the Adobe Content Viewer is working. It may be that when updating to the new patch the Content Viewer is not being installed. After running this file the Viewer is working again.

7. Re: UPDATE: Folio Producer tools 1.1.0
Frank Costa Jun 16, 2011 8:54 PM (in response to John Mitchinson)Great! I'm glad you got it solved. There is a dialog that comes up during the update asking to replace the current Content Viewer air app if it is not able to complete silently, sometimes people dismiss it and don't accept it. We leave the .air installer there in the event it's wanted later like what you've discovered. Good, one positive note to go home with. Thanks!

8. Re: UPDATE: Folio Producer tools 1.1.0
John Mitchinson Jun 16, 2011 9:06 PM (in response to Frank Costa)Frank you are right. You know this process well.
When I was asked if I wanted to uninstall the old version I said yes but then the installer never gave me a chance to install the new Content Viewer.
Until I found and installed the Content Viewer air app nothing was working.
Thanks for your insight. I will be on the lookout for this in the future.

alex1411 Jun 17, 2011 12:34 AM (in response to Bob Bringhurst)It looks like logging in the acrobat.com account never finishes (see Screenshots) even when i delete all my workspaces and files (since the hole week)
My clients are so happy abut that, can't tell you this solution really makes my life so easy
spending hours and hours trying, hoping, changing (articles which already works fine in previous versions)

Johannes Eckert Jun 17, 2011 3:39 AM (in response to alex1411)alex,
i have no technical detals, but I think this is fine.
acrobat needs to keep an open connection to the server and they need action.ashx to check of there are updates. this is because you can collaborate with other people on acrobat.com and the changes are visible immediately.

12. Re: UPDATE: Folio Producer tools 1.1.0

oksidor Jun 21, 2011 7:56 AM (in response to Bob Bringhurst)Seems like the R key no longer switches the orientation in the local (Mac OS X) Content Viewer after updating to Drop 13. Am I the only one with this problem?
