I'm happy to say I've inserted a form on to my site. Unfortunately, it doesn't do anything in terms of giving me information when filled out. It appears to be an actual form to the site visitor but there's no submit button or anything like that -- kind of like a shiny new car with no engine inside...
I'm wondering what the critical step is here and hoping it doesn't involve complex database issues....
Thanks in advance for your response.
Ask your host if they have a form-to-email processing script you can use. Many major hosts have scripts already installed on their servers which you can activate from your admin panel or reference directly in your form's action attribute. <form action="script_name.php" ...>
If your host doesn't provide scripts, ask them which server-side languages you can use (PHP, ASP, ASP.net, Perl, ColdFusion, etc). This will help narrow your search for a suitable script.
