Hi folks, I bought a flash 3D carousel with three fla files (one each for video, swf and photos). The photo file I can modify and save just fine but whenever I try to save the video fla I get an error message say that the file cannot be saved, try a different folder or name. Now I've tried different names and folders but can't seem to save my modifications. I've checked the file permissions on my Mac and set all the 777, but am I possibly dealing with an internal security feature in the file itself? I'm supposed to be able to modify it as I need.
Or could there be something else causing this problem.
click file/publish settings/formats and check what you're publishing and fix their directory locations to locations that exist. if there's a "use default names" button on that panel, you can click it and you'll be good to go.
Try creating a new Fla and copy paste the content from the file which is having issues and save .
Do you know in which version this video file was created?
thanks all, not sure what happened. I ran permissions on my folder, rebooted, restarted and saved AS and it was then editable. Must have been a glitch of some sort.
