Oh scripting gurus, I come to you again with a request.
I have a form that has a lot of date fields on it, and was wondering if there were a way I could allow the person manipulating the form to click a button that would check all of the dates and highlight the fields of the most recent date.
So if there were three boxes with June 6, 2011, and a box with June 8, 2011, the box with June 8, 2011 would highlight a specific color.
I don't know where to even begin with this or if it's possible, but it was something they had asked for.
Any help would be awesome. =]
To highlight a field, you can set either the border color (strokeColor property) or the background color (fillColor property) of the field. To check the dates, you can convert the field values to date objects (using util.scand), see which one is greater than any other, and highlight the field. If you get stuck, post the code you've tried and I bet someone will help.
Thanks George. You're awesome.
I got it straightened out on my end. I'm using the Adobe resources available on my end and while I can get a lot of what I want done on my own, I do still require the assistance of the forums. Any additional resources for scripting you can recommend me?
