That call graph is not very enlightening. Next time, can you force a crash (View > Send Signal > Abort (ABRT)) and upload the crash report?
Also, does disabling async exports (Matt Laun's post here) work?
I disabled async per your request. Verfied it was working by exporting a pdf and I saw the dialog. Did not help. Still hung at the end of packaging. Here is the crash report. Thanks again for you quick response to both posts.
OK, this one's more useful. Problem is in the CoolType and Font Manager plugins, so it is probably a bad font.
Please remove all non-system fonts (even ones that your document might depend on!) and confirm that packaging works.
Then, add them back by halves (e.g. if you removed 100 fonts, add back 50. See if that fixes. If so, add back 25. If not, take away 25, etc.). Takes log-base-2 of the number of fonts to narrow it down. So for 100 fonts, that is 7 halvings.
If you create a "Strict" preflight Profile with font types not allowed for eg (and so on) maybe you can detect a problem in the prefight panel...
