    Frame a PiP

Before I put alle my tapes behind eachother made the CD and that is it.

Now I found out the option Picture in Picture.

To 'highlight' the small picture I like to frame in pe. in a black square.

      I cannot find the option.

      Help wanted.

Yes I am a totally newby.

This can be easily done by creating a "frame" in either PrE's Titler, or an image-editing program, such as PS. With either, the simple way would be to create a Shape with the desired Fill, and possibly Stroke.

Just place this "frame" on the Video Track below the PiP Clip. Scale the PiP to being slightly smaller than that "frame" image, or Scale the "frame" image to being slightly larger than your PiP.

Here is a look at that in PrE 4.0, but it's the same in other more recent versions:

In that case, I just did a Shape on the Title, with a white Fill and no Stroke.

Good luck, and hope that helps,

Here is a little bit more intricate "frame" done in Photoshop, but the mechanics are exactly the same:

You are only limited by your imagination.

            Good luck,

              Hi, Bill

I want to skip the back and forward to all the different Adobe items.

My friend uses Premiere Pro 2 he has the option:

              Video Effects, Transform, Clip.

That is the item I am looking for.

In Premiere Pro 5 it is not available.

I found out a 'substitute' can be

              Video Effects, Perspective, Bevel Edges

It gives more or less a similar effect.

IIRC, the Effect>Clip was lost at about CS3, or CS4.

However, that image with the "boathouse" was done in PrPro 2.0, and the "frame" was created in Photoshop. I used Effect>Corner Pin, but could have also done a Track Matte Keying Effect, with a Track Matte that matched the inside of the "frame."

More than one way to sking a cat...
