    go to a new web page (not a new tab)

    mgerber2@comcast.net
      I'm using version 10 of flash.

      I can got to  a new web page that creates a new tab on the browser which is not what I want to  do.

      on (release) {
      getURL ("CEO.pdf","_blank");
      }

      I don't  want to create a new tab, just move to a new web page. I've tried

      on  (release) {
      getURL ("CEO.pdf","_self");
      }

      however nothing  happens.

      I've also tried

      on (release)  {
      getURL("javascript:launchwin('CEO.pdf' , 'newwindow' ,  'scrollbars=1')");

      with the following in  javascript:

      <SCRIPT LANGUAGE="JavaScript"> var  javascript_version = 1.0;</SCRIPT>
      <SCRIPT  LANGUAGE="JavaScript1.1"> javascript_version =  1.1;</SCRIPT>
      <script language="JavaScript"  type="text/javascript">
      <!--

      var newwin;

      function  launchwin(winurl,winname,winfeatures)
      {
      //This launches a new window and  then
      //focuses it if window.focus() is supported.
      newwin =  window.open(winurl,winname,winfeatures);

      if(javascript_version >  1.0)
      {
      //delay a bit here because IE4 encounters errors
      //when trying  to focus a recently opened  window
      setTimeout('newwin.focus();',250);
      }
      }
      //  -->
      </script>

      and nothing happens when I click on the  button.

      Would appreciate any support. I'm very new to action script,  however experienced as a programmer.

      Thanks!!!
