Hi. I am experience a very annoying issue with Adobe Premiere Pro CS 5.0.3.
When I import a video in the timeline, sometimes the audio is out of sync and sometimes de audio is OK in one part but mute on another part of the same clip.
When I checked the raw MPEG file, is perfect. I can hear all perfectly with Windows Media or other player.
In 90% of the material -even in the same project - there is no problem, but in some this problems appears. I read a lot about audio problems with PR but cannot find a solution. My footage is always HDV 50i.
In the meatime, I am exporting the audio in wav with another program and importing it separetely in PR, but this is nonsense!!!
Along with Kevin's linked Adobe KB article, see this ARTICLE, on Conforming and Indexing of files. If one interrupts the Conforming process, they can get Imports with zero Audio, or truncated, partial Audio.
For my education, can you tell me the order of the Conforming and Indexing of Imported files, in PrPro?
I am curious whether Indexing comes first, then Conforming and then the generation of the PEK (Waveform display) files, or some other order.
