I am producing a catalog with pricing information. The prices are in a particular column in tables on each page.
I want to produce a version of the catalog without the prices.
A separate file would require all changes to be made in two files, or the no-prices file to be made from scratch every time a change is made.
Is there a way to do this without creating a separate file, so that the prices can be toggled on and off as needed?
I would use Conditional Text. Read about it in InDesign Help.
Another way that would be simpler if your design allowed it would be to have something on a layer above that hid that column, and you could just toggle that layer on and off.
P.S. Further to Steve's suggestion the help file on conditional text is here.
Sweet! I went ahead and used conditional text. It's quite annoying how you can't apply the condition to an entire column - you have to tripple click in each individual cell, but at least it only has to be done once. Thanks!
