Stan Jones Jun 21, 2011 7:52 PM (in response to Volodymyr Kashuba)There have been a number of threads on this error.
I have no wisdom for you.
In the "Search Forums" box above the messages, put this in (without the quotes) "encore file already exists"
Try some of the fixes in those threads.
I hope someone has more information for you.

MobyTrix Jun 22, 2011 1:20 PM (in response to Volodymyr Kashuba)I thought this was solved as a permissions problem. Have you tried starting Encore as adminstrator? (right-click Encore, "Run as administrator") If filesystem permissions is the problem, this should work around it. When you first try this, make sure you've just rebooted your system and that Encore is the first thing in the CS5 suite you run, to make sure that Encore (running as administrator) is spawning all of the auxilliary daemons like PProHeadless, etc.
Do you get this error trying to build a BMDV folder too? (or is it limited to .ISO?)
I have found the blu-ray .ISO generation to be vastly flawed when it comes to BD50-R/RE (dual-layer) images, so I just build BMDV folders and use IMGBURN (free program) to actually put the folder on a BD50.

4. Re: Blu-ray error:"file already exists", code "6" , Note : 118240 11771552 11826176
ram8kumar Jun 22, 2011 9:21 PM (in response to Volodymyr Kashuba)Error code 6 can come in many cases like :
- subtitle area is bigger than the title safe area in monitor window
-burning with large psd file in slideshow
-if disc name is blank
-burning a slideshow with no pan and zoom or with no transition with H264 settings
-bit rate is too high and subtitles are there also
- also there might be the case where there is a difference in the audio and video track duration in the timeline
You might try any of above these. But these are just the possibilities that I know of. Might work for you.
Thanks,
Ramesh.

Volodymyr Kashuba Jun 22, 2011 10:44 PM (in response to MobyTrix)Thank you MobyTrix, I am not limited to .ISO file, its a wedding project, I always did before .ISO file, and checked on the PC first is everithing is right, and then burn the Blu-ray disc, and this time try to do this same way as always did before. It is not BD50 project, just regular BD25-R. I will try yor suggestion. I will post the result. Sorry for my english.

6. Re: Blu-ray error:"file already exists", code "6" , Note : 118240 11771552 11826176
Volodymyr Kashuba Jun 22, 2011 11:15 PM (in response to ram8kumar)Thank you ram8kumar. I will answer step-by-step, as you did:
- there is no subtitle in the project
- .PSD file is not to large, 2 files 1920X1080 and only 2-3Mb, and they only used as menu (I did this a milion times before), there is no slideshow in the project
- Disc name is not blank
- there is no sledeshow (burning a slideshow with no pan and zoom or with no transition with H264 settings)
Lest two might be the problem.
- I exported .h264 files from PPro CS5 with Matrox MXO2 Mini with MAX, Matrox preset and if I remember right target was 30Mb/sek
- Audio and video track duration in the timeline was 1(one) frame difference.
Thank you agan, and I will post the results as soon as I will get done with it.
Vladymyr.

Volodymyr Kashuba Jun 25, 2011 7:58 AM (in response to Volodymyr Kashuba)OK, cant fix this Error, everything I do does not help, I gave up, imported PPro timeline to Encore over Adobe Dinamic Link. Automatic transcoding using project setting. Created . ISO file like always with out any problem.
Thank you to all for help.

gr8bob Nov 28, 2011 9:48 AM (in response to Volodymyr Kashuba)I think "file already exists" is an incorrect error message. I think the problem results from some sort of file size error computation when iso image files approach 20GB in size. Too often I have seen Encore in CS5.5 build image file sizes of around 18GB when Encore completed with the message "24.99GB written". Encore does not seem to be able to build an iso image much larger than 20GB even though the supposed max size is 25GB for a single layer image file. I encountered subject error message "file already exists", with different numeric code, then reduced size of one of my input files, then image file built successfully -- it was around 19GB in size. I run using Premiere Pro Dynamic Link with stock media encoder via Encore.
