Failed Install of Captivate 5.0.2.630 Patch

I just tried to install the latest update for Cp5 announced this morning. This is the patch to upgrade Cp5 to 5.0.2.630.

However, the install fails with this error message:

On the off chance that maybe the install was failing because I was running a more recent version of Flash Player (10.3+) I uninstalled that and tried again but got the same result.

If any of the Adobe Dev Techs are watching this thread, is there a workaround?

hi Rod,

Can you provide us below information

Which OS you are trying to install Patch
Can you send us the latest installer log files located in below location. c:\Program Files\Common Files\Adobe\Installers\ (File name will be prefixed with "AdobeCaptivate"
Which version of Captivate currently you are working on.

Have you installed or replaced any hotfixes shared by captivate team. If yes please can you tell us which hotfix.

Hi Vish,

I'm on Win 7 Ultimate 64bit.

I eventually got the update to be accepted by Captivate but only after I had uninstalled the entire ELS 2.5 Trial suite and then done a repair install again of Captivate 5.

Yes I had installed some patches from the dev team but can't say which ones exactly. In any case, it's all working fine now.
