    Why do I have gaps in my left nav?

    duenorth09 Level 1

      This is my first attempt at using CSS instead of tables. http://www.duenorthdesign.com/pcm.  Using Browserlab, I find gaps where the background is showing through in my left navigation...in Explorer 7, and just a little bit in 8. I don't even know where to start trying to figure out the fix. Can someone help? Thank you!

          Go to line 187 in code view.

          Change this:

          <!--[if IE]>
          <style type="text/css">
          /* place css fixes for all versions of IE in this conditional comment */
          .twoColFixLtHdr #sidebar1 { padding-top: 30px; }
          .twoColFixLtHdr #mainContent { zoom: 1; }
          /* the above proprietary zoom property gives IE the hasLayout it needs to avoid several bugs */
          </style>
          <![endif]-->

          To this:

          <!--[if IE]>
          <style type="text/css">
          /* place css fixes for all versions of IE in this conditional comment */
          #sidebar1 {padding: 0; margin:0; }
          #sidebar1 ul {padding-top:0; margin-top:0}
          #mainContent { zoom: 1; }
          /* the above proprietary zoom property gives IE the hasLayout it needs to avoid several bugs */
          </style>
          <![endif]-->
