You've got that kind of backward. You create the mockup for the template in Fireworks, and export the images to your Dreamweaver site to build the template with.
I appreciate that, but was wondering if was possible to use an existing page design as a 'template' to create a new mockup for use, if you understand what I mean?

How about making a screen shot of it and using that as a kind of tracing image for recreating it?
Yes, I'd thought about that Linda, but was wondering if there was any way of indirect import - I guess not?
In older versions of FW there used to be a generate layout from HTML option in the file menu, but it only worked for table-based layouts. In CS5 (and maybe even CS4) this option was removed. The feature was limited in other ways too, as FW merely created slices of the table cell content, so nothing was editable.
A screen grab might be the most efficient workflow if the site is CSS-based.
