I have the same problem, since Adobe X updated 2 days ago. I have Windows 7 Ultimate with Webroot Antivirus.Has anybody got any answers on this problem?
Does anyone have an answer for this, it is effectively preventing me from reading any pdfs that are independent of a web page.
Well I finally had time to try the uninstall, reinstall route and this seems to have fixed the problem for now, but I'm still none the wiser as to what went wrong in the first place.
I have the same exact problem. When PDF doc apprears (downloaded) on the screen, there is NO Adobe toolbar to make selections from.
A 'ghost' toolbar appears in the bottom/center for a few seconds, then dis-appears. Place/click over any save/print symbol does nothing; nor does Ctrl+P or Ctrl+S.
Uninstalled and downloaded and re-installed. Now the Ctrl + S worked and I put it in the Lib/Doc.
Then AR would open and print it.
I have the opposite problem of being able to open PDF files
on my computer but not ones from the internet. I just bought a new computer with Windows 7 and downloaded Abode X. The program worked fine on my Windows XP. I tried their suggestions but none solved the problem. I've tried different websites that I can access fine on my old system. Any suggestions?
After some perusing, I found a comment about uninstalling, then
re-installing Adobe X to cure a similar problem. I tried that and, the first
time, it did not work but after a second pass, I found I 'could' press
Ctrl+S and save the downloaded PDF. After that, I could open AdobeX and then
it would show me the toolbars to print, etc.
For the life of me, I cannot explain it - but I'm anxious to try the next
time I receive a PDF download.
Give it a shot.
