I just bought acrobat X Pro.
I would like to import data from a php program into an
acrobat form and have a new page generated for each
data set. What is the best way to do this?
There are actually several ways to accomplish this.
The IMHO logical and straightforward way is to define the repetitive page of the document as a Template, and then assemble an FDF which does handle the templates (section 126.96.36.199.3 in the version of the PDF reference being part of the Acrobat 10 SDK documentation). Then you feed that FDF into Acrobat, and it should create an according document.
An alternative would be using XFA (which is most likely suggested by Adobe Propaganda). This approach may work reasonably well.
And (to be kind of complete), for bigger volumes of such forms, you might look at third-party server-side applications which would merge base form and data on the server side.
Hope this can help.
