If you want to publish or view your flash banner on ipad, you should publish the file using packager for iphone in flash. The other way to view it on ipad is html5 on browser, becoz you almost converted that to an video, so just use the tag
<meta name="apple-mobile-web-app-capable" content="yes">
<video src="http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/7/79/Big_Buck_Bunny_small.ogv" width="400" height="300" controls="controls">
Your browser does not support the video tag.
Thank you! Thank you! I will try this code. Which format should I convert the file into before inserting it as the new video src within the code?
FLV is not supported, anyway look into the below links:
Until I get html5 video code working on my site (I'm sure once I do, I'll realize how easy it is), I've found a temporary solution. I've replaced the "download new flash player" code with a jpeg still of my banner and the solution works. When my site is viewed from a non ipad/iphone the swf plays as it should. When my site's viewed from an ipad or iphone, the swf is replaced by a still version banner. I can live with this until I get html5 working.
