The object i have, a logo, sits on a background and I'd like to eliminate all the extra space around it so when the logo is imported elsewhere, it appears cropped to it's edge, without the canvas. There are multiple ways to do this, I'm sure. In this case, it's a logo that will appear on a Facebook page. Brief suggestions?
If you've made this in ID, change the page size so it just fits. In Illustrator, set the artboard size to art.
To do it in ID, would one measure the object and then set the canvas size to match it in page set-up? Or is there an even simpler way to automatically shrink the canvas to the size of the art?
I'd seklec the object and write down the dimensions of the bounding box, then cut to the clipboard to make changing the page size easier (this will avoid potential object off the pasteboard errors). File > Document Setup... and adjust tthe page size to match your dimensions, then paste. Your log should appear centered in the new page.
