Application runs in iPhone resolution on iPad

NilsTT Level 1

Hello,

I've created an application for android/iPhone(iPad, Pod).

Exporting the application for the different platforms works but on the iPad, the application runs in iPhone resolution (with the "2x") button to enlarge (but this is not what I want).

I want the application to use the entire iPad screen (not fullscreen but everything except for the information bar).

If I look at the Main-app.xml the UIDevicefamily is set to 1 and 2 (which is what is all I need to do as far as I know).

The application does not need any special hardware like the camera.

Anybody a suggestion?

Right click on your xxx-app.xml file and Open With Text Editor. Find the iOS section and make sure it is not commented out. Look at the UIDeviceFamily array and make sure you have an entry for "<string>2</string>". Family 2 is the iPad. Example below:

<!-- iOS specific capabilities -->
<iPhone>
<!-- A list of plist key/value pairs to be added to the application Info.plist -->
<InfoAdditions>
<![CDATA[
<key>UIDeviceFamily</key>
<array>
<string>1</string>
<string>2</string>
</array>
<key>UIStatusBarStyle</key>
<string>UIStatusBarStyleBlackOpaque</string>
<key>UIRequiresPersistentWiFi</key>
<string>YES</string>
]]>
</InfoAdditions>
<requestedDisplayResolution>high</requestedDisplayResolution>
<!-- <requestedDisplayResolution></requestedDisplayResolution> -->
</iPhone>
