Hi fellow developers,
i'm trying to use bluetooth of my tablet to communicate with an another bluetooth device. it will be a text based communication, not a file based. In my search, i found several android applications (which most of them doesnt even work) in java coding. Is it possible to use bluetooth port (like a serial port) with Flex 4.5 mobile?
with my best regards,
Air has no API to access bluetooth stack on any supported profile (desktop, mobile, etc) - cast your vote here:
In theory you could ship companion Java (Android SDK) application that would be run in background to provide socket based access to bluetooth features of your devices(s) (it would require additional software to be developed alongside of your application together with socket protocol to implement communication logic) I think.
The other ways are totally not supported and not easy, see:
(and notice big red banner in text),
Thanks for your answer mate.
it seems my googleing results were true.
i suppose i'm going back to java with full force. Yes, Flex is a very cute tool to use, yet its completely useless to me atm :S
