Working with someone elses files and it seems he has a setting turned on in his ID CS4 that we cant figure out.
He has a text box with text on a document. When you move that text box up or down with the arrow keys, the box moves but the text does not. When you move up or down far enough, the text will realign itself back in the box. The best description of it acts like there is an invisible box above and below it with Text Wrap turned on...but I know its nothing like that. What is causing this?
Sounds like Align to Baseline Grid...
Make the grid visible with View -> Grids and Guides -> Show Baseline Grid.
Change grid settings in Edit -> Preferences -> Grids
In a paragraph style, go to Indents and Spacing to change grid alignment settings
If your text has no paragraph style assigned... um... er... I have no idea how to turn it off
The paragraph style fixed it! Every document I got from him was like that and was driving me nuts! Looked like he used the same style with everything he does without realizing it...doesnt seem to understand styles enough to know he was even doing anything wrong. Thanx!
