Install fail: M: drive not available?

Windows 7 Home on a home network. My Documents folder is mapped to my network server as M: drive. The drive is accessible but Adobe Reader install fails and reports M: drive not available. It doesn't matter to me which drive Reader is installed (C: or M:), I just want it up and running.
