1. Re: Web Site Created in Director can it be Converted to Dreamweaver
SnakEyez02 Jul 10, 2011 7:27 AM (in response to chande a k)That doesn't make any sense. What size is the file that is being loaded in the browser?
Only suggestion you will get here is probably to replace your current gallery script with another one that could load faster and be more compatible.

chande a k Jul 10, 2011 6:25 PM (in response to SnakEyez02)Here is the Link to my web site created in Director. It is not the file size which is pretty small that causes web page take so much time to open...It is prior to opening of the web pages..Every time Shock wave loads, and it takes so much time this is annoying.

mytaxsite.co.uk Jul 14, 2011 5:04 AM (in response to chande a k)Your link doesn't even load on my machine! It forced me to download latest version of Shockwave which I did but still your site is a joke!!
You need to do better than that. What exactly are you trying to do? You need to start using dedicated website software like Dreamweaver or M$ Expression Web if you are going to create serious websites.
Good luck.

mytaxsite.co.uk Jul 10, 2011 7:55 PM (in response to chande a k)OK managed to load it in SeaMonkey Version 2.2 that was released just 2
days ago. It also loaded quickly so clearly something was wrong with
your site perhaps!!
It that your wife or your sister in the picture?
Now it loaded in FF5 as well so clearly your webhost is crap IMO.

mytaxsite.co.uk Jul 10, 2011 10:08 PM (in response to chande a k)I suggest learn how to create a photo gallery using David Powers method.
His tutorial is at this link:
<http://foundationphp.com/tutorials/gallery/embed1.php>
Please read both parts first and practice it on your system before
wiping your current site.

Nancy O. Jul 11, 2011 10:48 AM (in response to chande a k)Director is for making movies, not web sites.
There is no text anywhere on your site. The lack of HTML headings and text means there is nothing for search engines to find. No content = no traffic.
Shockwave is not supported by all web devices either. Language translators, screen readers and Apple iOS cannot "see" content in SWF files. Assuming people without SWF file support ever find your site, they will see a blank screen because you have provided no alternate HTML content.
