dont think so
you do need to have the USB drivers installed for your phone. (HTC Desire the drivers are on the internal SD card).
Later I had to install Android SDK (and Java) in order to take screen shots of the phone
Why when I packaged the .APK file all I would receive when installing from SD Card was "Application not installed"?
can you run the app at all on the phone? Either just as run or debug on device
do you already have AIR installed on the phone?
can you upload to the android market and install from there? (not the best way, but might be worth trying)
No I could not, until I loaded Java SDK and Android SDK on my computer and did a rebuild. That's why I thought Android SDK must be required?? Your thoughts?? The device is an ASUS EEE Pad TF101 Tablet. I don't have another system to test my theory on!
no idea, sorry.
I just think it wasnt until I uploaded to the market and it asked for screen shots that I downloaded the Android SDK.
Until then the only other thing I had to install was the USB drivers for the phone
Does anyone know the answer??
Hi, i have the same problem. I've developed a simple app, generate de .apk, and uploaded to my ftp. When i download it to my HTC and try to install i get "Application not installed" error. Any help?
The device probably does not support AIR. This is what I found on my device. The lower end devices does not support AIR. I got a higher end device with Android Honeycomb OS and it worked find. You may want to check with your device manufacturer to see if there is an upgrade in your Firmware for your device that will support AIR.
