We will be deploying a platform app with Qt (C++ for windows and mac) and are using a WebKit variant for much of our UI. We'd like to use Flash to play video files that are shipped with the app and hosted by html files that are also local, but Flash security would require the user to explicitly trust the local files in our app or else display a security warning. This would obviously be a horrible user experience and is unacceptable.
Is there any way to programmatically tell flash to trust the files in our application? We have control of the browser code, so if we must trick flash somehow, we can probably do it, but if there's a straightforward way (as it seems there really should be for just this situation), that would be preferable.
