How to add a background color to a line of text?

      Hello, Adobe Forums.

      I have one quick question:

Would it be possible to create a style where it has a background color that goes across the screen?  (see the attachment)

At work, I was given some material where this coloring was done.  It was done in MS Word, but it was attached directly to the text.  I want to do that since I am creating a number of templates, and the way I am doing it right now is not very practical (content in text box, and a second, colored text box, is placed under it).  Would it be possible to do what I am trying to do?  The search lead me to highlighting text via using underline + changing weight and offset, but I need the coloration to go the entire length of the page.

      Thanks for any suggestions.
